Sam & Samuel
I first met Samuel through the film making scene in Kansas City. He’s got an incredibly creative mind, and is always a blast to be working with on set. When he and Sam reached out about doing an engagement shoot that could double as a cool indie-folk album cover, I figured they’d have some cool ideas up their sleeves. My shoots seem to attract water, and I’m regularly getting down into a creek, lake, etc. and I’m truly always here for it. Something about it brings out extra emotion, maybe due to feeling that extra connection to the surroundings. Though, most people wouldn’t be up for it in EARLY MARCH. This water was COLD. That didn’t stop them though. We hopped in and made some art with the setting sun casting the warmest glow against the cooler tones of late winter. This shoot was a mix of digital and medium format film for all the grainy goodness.
